District Court in San Diego alleges sex trafficking, human trafficking, racketeering and conspiracy to commit racketeering. It names as defendants Aylo Media S.A.R.L., a Luxembourg-incorporated company that owns PornHub and other popular free porn video sites, and several related companies. The owners and operators of GirlsDoPorn knew the type of women they wanted to appear in their amateur porn videos—college-age millennials—would not agree to casually participate in the porn industry.

One woman said that for years afterward, her video was the first result that came up if her name was searched online.

Afterward, they cut her pay from $2,000 all the way down to $400 and then locked her out of the hotel room – forcing her to find other accommodations on her own. For many of the women ensnared by this scheme, the filming of the scene was the worst part. Pratt fled San Diego in 2019 during a civil trial in San Diego Superior Court over the pornography business, which used false and misleading claims — and sometimes drugs and alcohol — to coerce young women into performing sex acts on camera in luxury San Diego hotel suites. Prior to the criminal prosecution, the website and its operators were sued by 22 women featured in its videos, and a San Diego judge awarded the women nearly $13 million at the end of a civil trial.

Investigators said that victims were forced into performing nonconsensual sexual acts, and when they wanted their videos removed from the websites, Pratt and his partners threatened and intimidated them. Around a month after filming, the victims learned the true nature of the defendants’ business when the videos were not only released on their subscription site girlsdoporn.com, but also prominently published on popular free tube sites like Pornhub.com. The defendants and “fans” of GirlsDoPorn also sent the videos to victims’ friends, family, classmates, and colleagues, and posted the victims’ names and contact information with the videos. As a result of this wide exposure, the victims were harassed and shamed, forced to leave jobs or school, and ostracized or even disowned by family and friends. The victims suffered immense emotional distress and economic harm, and their lives were derailed for years.
